China citrus lower significantly liver cancer, heart disease and diabetes risk
Two research results from Japan indicate that the effects of unremarkable China citrus’s lowering liver cancer, heart disease, stroke and diabetes risks are very obvious. Upon the announcement of the results, ordinary citrus suddenly becomes the latest "anti-cancer fruit."
Because it’s full of the ingredients of vitamin A, citrus has orange red-color. Studying on carotenoids effect on the human health, a scientific research team of Japanese national fruit research institute took investigation on 1073 residents in Japan who commonly eat a lot of fruits as oranges and tangerines. Result shows that the chemical component in the blood samples of these people are lower than that of those who have angiosclerosis and insulin antibody diseases. They found out in the second research that it would obviously decrease the risk of becoming liver cancer to the patients who has chronic viral hepatitis symptom after drinking orange juice.
Kyoto Medical University researchers conducted a study on 30 patients suffering from viral hepatitis for one year. These patients daily drank carotenoids juice and orange juice mixed drinks. A year later, compared with the 45 patients who had the same illness but did not drink carotenoids juice and orange juice, none of them found to suffer from cancer, and the probability of the former᾿ developing into liver cancer is 8.9% The researchers recognized that they also need further study and plans to last the study for five years.
British heart Foundation heart nurses Kathy Ruise said that the research provided strong theoretical evidence that fruits benefit human health. She said:"the more types of fruit and vegetables your diet related to, the more beneficial to your health. "
